Ingredients (key points):

  • Chana dal (split Bengal gram, cooked and mashed)

  • Jaggery (gud, grated or powdered)

  • Whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)

  • All-purpose flour (maida, optional blend)

  • Desi ghee (for dough, stuffing, and serving)

  • Cardamom powder (elaichi)

  • Nutmeg powder (jaiphal, optional)

  • Turmeric powder (haldi, pinch for dough color)
